Student modelling competition

The BS 2025 Organising Committee is excited to announce that the student modelling competition will be based on the Bundanon Art Museum & Bridge. Located in New South Wales in Australia, this building is constructed and has been in operation since 2021.

About the competition

Within your teams you will be taking on three primary modelling challenges (façade, HVAC, off-grid) with one optional bonus challenge (embodied carbon). The intent of your final report will be to communicate specific recommendations and outcomes to the Client (Bundanon Trust). You are strongly encouraged to form interdisciplinary teams to tackle the scope of this competition.

When you submit your notification of intent to participate in the competition, you will also have the opportunity to submit one or more RFIs (Requests For Information).  This is your chance to ask for clarification regarding the competition brief.  All RFIs and their responses will be published to the BS 2025 website for all teams to view.  Team names associated with the questions will not be disclosed.

The final two shortlisted teams will each receive: two complementary conference passes and 1000 AUD to support the cost of attendance at BS 2025 in Brisbane, Australia.  Please note that the prize amount is irrespective of team size.

To be eligible for participation, all team members must be able to demonstrate that they will be a full-time student in tertiary education on 1 January 2025.
